Cumulus Inc, Melbourne, Victoria

i stood in the corner of this establishment for 55 minutes waiting (no reservations accepted) for a chance to have dinner here. waiting so long for a spot to dine sure sucks.

anyway, i had my heart (stomach) set on eating here tonight and no where else will do. so i waited patiently, cocktail in hand.

Wide selection of oysters here - i had the claire de lune bouton, moonlight flat angassi and coffin bay oysters.

Scallop wrapped in speck with crushed broad beans. - $5 for each firm melt in ur mouth scallop, for those of you wondering what speck is; it IS pork and tastes like ham.

Foie gras parfait, sweet salty raisins & toast. - This was one smooth foie gras. YUMMY!

Wagyu bresaola with remoulade & fresh horseradish. - Really good air dried salty beef with a hint of 'wasabi' thanks to the horseradish sprinkles, the pile of remoulade is under the beef slices.

Kingfish confit, fennel and spanner crab salad. - medium rare kingfish slices, springy pieces of diced crab and More broad beans.

Spiced cauliflower with goats curd - very inventive, did not even taste like vegetables.

Baked gnocchi with taleggio & truffle vinaigrette - soft and chewy gnocchi pillows full of carbohydrate goodness.

Grilled grass fed rib eye, remoulade and lemon - 500g of meat and more remoulade. There is certainly a trend of ingredients being fully utilised in this restaurant.

Chocolate mousse crunch brownie Delight - i washed this down with a glass of the most expensive port i have ever had. chocolate and port sure do get along. -mi!
